A Call to the Nurse

This morning after talking to Mama & my sister last night I called the OB nurse about possible contractions I may be having. Its not that I am worried about them but my sister, Karen said it wouldn't hurt to give them a call. Monday night was when I noticed them the most. My belly just gets really tight, but its not painful or cramping just a different feeling. It of course could just be braxton hicks, but I guess the doctor & OB nurse should still be notified. I only had a couple Tuesday night & a couple last night. They only seem to happen at night after I get home from work.

I just spoke with the nurse & she confirmed that it is braxton hicks contractions, but to make sure I start paying attention to how often they occur or if they are accompanied with cramps or pressure. She also told me some things to look out for which may be signs of pre-term labor, which I was glad to know.

Girl... be careful! Don't you be like me. You should drink, drink, drink. If you uterus gets a little dehydrated it will cause more BH contractions. Also, lying down on your left side will help.

Yes those were some of the things the nurse told me & drinking has not been an issue at all. I am so thirsty all the time. I would rather drink than eat.

have you looked at the pictures of how far your uterus stretches?! Then it makes total sense that it needs to contract a little- It has a lot of stretching to get done!
